Why are imperials attacking me

If you contract Sanguinare Vampiris from a Vampire and don't feed for 4 days the disease will progress to stage IV where almost every NPC will attack you on sight. No I don't have vampirism. Only Empire allied NPCs attack me. For example, the guards react to me normally, as do towns people in Stormcloak holds.

Is it possible you accidentally hit an Imperial soldier during the battle? Try waiting a few in game days to see if everyone calms down. Raijin A Mage that loves a Templar. Check your crime status. Have you tried reloading a save prior to completing Battle for Whiterun? Maybe if you do it over again, you won't get the same bug if waiting a few days in-game doesn't help anything, as Dagmar suggested.

I am still in the process of trying to find a fix for this very annoying bug. This has a tendency to happen quite a lot. So, I think I figured out what the problem was. I believe the culprit to have been the soundtrack overhaul mod. It was one of the new mods I downloaded when my problem began, and it was the ONLY mod to have been updated this morning when I began playing. Today, I have not had any Imperial attack me knock on wood.
